Vrindavan, the land of devotion and divine love, is home to countless temples that echo the pastimes of Lord Krishna. Among these, the temple of Bade Dauji, the revered deity of Lord Balaram, holds a history that dates back over 5,500 years. Despite Vrindavan’s flourishing spiritual landscape, Bade Dauji’s temple remains humble and overlooked. Through our concert, we seek to bring attention to this sacred space and support its much-needed development.
The story of Bade Dauji begins with Vajranabh, the great-grandson of Lord Krishna, who wished to know how his ancestors truly looked. Since he had never seen them, he approached Uttara, the wife of Abhimanyu, who had witnessed their divine forms. Guided by her vivid descriptions, Vajranabh sculpted several deities, including Govind Dev Ji and Bade Dauji.
Centuries later, during the reign of Aurangzeb, the beloved deity Govind Dev Ji was taken to Jaipur for protection, where he continues to be venerated today. However, Bade Dauji remained in Vrindavan, standing as a testament to the unwavering presence of Lord Balaram in this holy land. Yet, despite its historical and spiritual significance, Bade Dauji’s temple has not seen the development it deserves.

Through this concert, we aim to honor the immense significance of Bade Dauji and shed light on his overlooked legacy. Our initiative is not just about temple restoration—it is about reviving devotion, preserving history, and ensuring that future generations can experience the divine grace of Lord Balaram in a space that reflects his glory.
Every note of music, every beat of rhythm, and every voice in unison during this concert will be a call for preservation, respect, and devotion. Join us as we come together in faith and harmony to restore the grandeur of Bade Dauji’s sacred home, ensuring that his presence in Vrindavan continues to inspire devotees for millennia to come.
Let this be more than a concert—let it be a movement to honor Bade Dauji, the eternal elder brother of Lord Krishna.
